Miss Sandra Rivera / Studio owner / Director / Teacher
Miss Sandra enjoys sharing her love of performing with her students. She studied dance locally as a child & began teaching at the age of 16. She tested & became a certified dance teacher with Dance Masters of America. After many years of teaching & managing studios, Miss Sandra auditioned for her first professional show & began traveling the country singing & dancing at numerous theme parks & on cruise ships. She has worked locally for over 10 years extensively at Derby Dinner Playhouse & also for Music Theater Louisville, not only as a performer but also as a choreographer. She is currently a proud member of the Footnotes & sings every night at Derby Dinner Playhouse.
Mr. Frank Goodloe / Dance Teacher & Drama Director
Mr. Frank is a former football player turned dancer. He worked in children’s theater for years with the Blue Apple Players performing & touring the region. He has traveled the country performing at many theme parks including Coney Island & Canobie Lake Park. Mr. Frank has worked locally for Derby Dinner Playhouse, Music Theater Louisville, Centerstage & Paddlewheel Productions. He co-directs our Dancensation musicals with Miss Sandra & this is his 10th year teaching for Dancensation. He currently works for ZFX flying actors all over the world.
Miss Jana Brocious / Dance Teacher
Miss Jana has been with Dancensation since we first began. She studied dance & was our Performer of the Year award winner in 1996. She trained as a dance teacher exclusively with Miss Sandra & has now been teaching for us for 12 years. Miss Jana was a piano music major at YPAS & graduated first in her class as valedictorian. Not only a dancer & musician, she is also a certified massage therapist & after graduating from U of L this Spring, she is now a Nurse at U of L hospital in the surgical intensive care unit.
Miss Rachel Cahayla-Wynne / Ballet Teacher
Originally from New Jersey, Rachel studied with Irine Fokine at the Irine Fokine School of Ballet. She continued her training at the University of Cincinnati’s College- Conservatory of Music, where she earned her BFA and danced lead roles in ballets such as Serenade, Paquita, and La Bayadere. Rachel currently dances with the Louisville Ballet and has also performed with Dayton Ballet, Staten Island Ballet, Ballet China New York. We are proud to have Miss Rachel on staff at Dancensation
Miss Dana Jo Adams / Voice Teacher
Miss Dana has been singing professionally for nearly 30 years. She was awarded a vocal scholarship at EKU & graduated with a BFA in Performing Arts. She has performed in Europe, Japan & on Hawaiian Cruise Lines. Locally, Miss Dana has performed with the KY. Opera, Music Theater Louisville, Derby Dinner Playhouse & in the Stephen Foster Story. She is another one of our wonderful teachers who has performed as a Footnote at Derby Dinner. She is proud mother of 3, Wesley who is a soccer player at Atherton & 2 daughters who are both Dancensation Stars, Ashley Kate, who is in her Senior year at the very prestigious Cincinnati Conservatory of Music & Audrey Belle, who is a Showbiz Kid & competition level dancer.
